Greenberg is a Canadian performance artist, born 1997, whose work centers on the body pushed into duration: how long can it hold a pose, sustain a gesture, stay present under strain. He was mentored directly by Marina Abramović, and it shows in pieces like Fountain II (2023), a six-hour performance at Pace Gallery using artificial blood, and SEBASTIAN, performed at the 2023 Venice Biennale. That same year he made Forbes' 30 Under 30 list for arts and style, and in 2024 he brought RESPAWN to the Art Gallery of Ontario for his Canadian institutional debut.

More recently he's moved that same practice into permanent sculpture. His first US solo show dedicated to sculpture, "Desire Path," opened at Salon 94 in January 2025, built from marble figures made by 3D-scanning his own live performances. The technical detail is the interesting part: he deliberately defeats the scanner's built-in self-correction so that the motion blur and distortion of a moving body survive into the final scan, which then gets machine-carved and hand-finished in stone, turning something meant to disappear into something permanent.
