(Same artist as the "Nataliya Bagatskaya" entry above, most likely a transliteration variant rather than a separate person, see the data note near the top of this section. Written from a different angle so the two entries aren't redundant.)
Bagatskaya's work is held in Ukrainian institutions including the Museum of Outstanding Figures of Ukrainian Culture in Kyiv and the Korsak Museum of Modern Art in Lutsk, and she's shown in more than 30 group exhibitions and four solo shows across Ukraine and internationally. She won the Grand Prix at Kyiv's ProCheese Awards in 2021, an unusual, food-themed prize that nonetheless points to how far her hyperrealist technique travels beyond conventional gallery contexts. She describes her overall approach as "metamodern," a term meant to capture painting that's technically hyperrealist but emotionally sincere rather than ironic, a distinction that matters more to her than most viewers might initially clock.
