Kuiper, a Dutch painter based in Amsterdam, worked in graphic design and photography before returning to painting full time in 2019, developing a style built around nude, often masked figures with exaggerated features drawn from African mask traditions. The loss of her mother young is a recurring undercurrent in her work, most directly in a 2023 etching simply titled "Mom." Her solo show "The Conversation That Never Took Place" at Reflex Gallery Amsterdam in 2024 brought together more than 25 works with a 300-page catalog, and she returned to the same gallery in 2026 with "It's Summer After All."
