Anadol builds large-scale, AI-driven "data sculptures," visualizations generated from vast datasets, weather patterns, brain scans, satellite imagery, projected across architecture at massive scale. Self-taught in programming from childhood on a Commodore 64, he's cited watching "Blade Runner" young as a formative influence on his interest in machine vision. In October 2023, MoMA acquired his work "Unsupervised" for its permanent collection, the museum's first acquisition of a generative AI artwork. He's set to open a permanent museum dedicated to his work, called Dataland, at The Grand LA in 2026, and a single piece from his "Living Memory" series sold for $1.87 million at Christie's in 2025.
