TV Boy, the working name of Sicilian-born, Barcelona-based artist Salvatore Benintende, has been called "the Banksy of Barcelona" for his satirical street murals that rework famous photographs and artworks into sharp, topical political commentary, Vladimir Putin depicted behind bars in a central Barcelona square, Volodymyr Zelenskyy calling for peace, Pope Leo XIV painted into a basketball jersey in Rome. He's traveled to Ukraine to make humanitarian-themed street art directly, and has also repeatedly depicted footballers Lionel Messi and Alexia Putellas, along with a memorial mural for Diego Maradona.
