Portable horizontal sundial is a horology by Jacques Lucas (French, active La Rochelle, recorded 1681–1706, d. 1723), probably before 1681. Silver; Overall: 2 1/4 × 2 in. (5.7 × 5.1 cm). It is part of the European Sculpture and Decorative Arts collection at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Gift of Mrs. Stephen D. Tucker, 1903.
