Personal Reflection
The dots are playful, the shape is soft, and sitting by the sea it looks like it belongs there, like something that grew rather than was made. But the longer I look, the repetition starts to take over. The dots stop feeling decorative and start feeling immersive, like they’re pulling everything into the same rhythm. It’s calming, but also slightly unsettling, like being inside someone else’s pattern of thinking. What I didn’t expect is how grounded it feels. For something so associated with infinity and repetition, the pumpkin is very physical. Heavy, stable, present. It doesn’t try to impress, it just sits there, confidently. Maybe that’s why people keep searching for it. It offers something rare: an artwork that is both instantly understandable and quietly complex. You can take a photo of it in two seconds, but it takes much longer to actually leave it.
