Yellow Wall - Rainer Fetting

Personal Reflection

At first glance, I feel calm and released from tension. Yellow hue of the wall creates a glowing, almost psychedelic energy that contrasts with the dark night. It could be an ordinary wall in any city around the world, but knowing it’s The Wall in Berlin makes me think of psychological impact of walls and barriers and their different meanings depending on context of their existence. However they were built, I definitely love to see them becoming canvases for street art - that’s a beautiful purpose, right?
